Tuesday August 20th to Friday August 23rd at Summerside Intermediate School
 
Going into Grade 7-9:  9:00am to 11:30am - $125/person
 
Going into Grade 10-12:  12:30pm to 3:00pm - $125/person
 
The camp will focus on individual skills and team play, including:
 
Overhand Serving
Attack
Blocking
Passing
Defense
Setting
Team offense/defense
Reading Cues
 
Lead Instructor:  Richard Younker
 
Richard Younker brings 25 years of coaching experience to the camp.  He is an Advanced Development coach who has coached at the junior high school, senior high school, club, and university levels.  A two time VPEI Coach of the Year winner, Richard has had tremendous success coaching the Kensington Torchettes women’s volleyball team, reaching the provincial finals seven times, winning the AAA championship in 2017.
 
Every year, the Kensington Volleyball Camp brings in special guest instructors from around the region.  Past guest instructors have included Rick Scott, head volleyball coach of the Dalhousie Women’s Tigers, Derek Brooks, head volleyball coach of the Mt. St. Vincent Mystics women’s volleyball team, and Jordan Brooks, coach of the 2023 NSSAF provincial champion Halifax West girls volleyball team.  This year’s guest coaches will be announced at a later date.
